Harry Potter 6 - To be released on June 30th

Electronic Arts and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have today announced that "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" videogame will be available in retail stores of the whole world from 30th June 2009, while it will be available in the UK from the 3rd July 2009. The game will be just ahead of the upcoming movie based on J.K. Rowling's sixth book of the Harry Potter series.

Players will return to Hogwarts to help Harry survive the sixth year and will have the chance to engage exciting wizard duels, attend Potions class, mixing and brewing magical ingredients, and lead the Gryffindor Quidditch team to victory. Players will be sidetracked by Ron getting romatic and will be busy trying to find out who the Half-Blood Prince is.

The game has been developed by EA Bright Light in Guildford, England, the same team getting the success of the Harry Potter library of games, including the last one, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is scheduled to be released in the UK on 3rd July 2009 for the Wii, PLAYSTATION 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PSP, Nintendo DS, Windows PC and mobile devices.

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is the sixth out of seven novels by the creative and original English writer Joanne Kathleen Rowling, who met the worldwide success because of the young wizard and his adventures. The book introduces new characters, such as Rufus Scrimegeour, in Cornelius Caramell place, and Fenrir Greyback.

The game will be faithful to the book and movie storyline, in such a way to improve the gaming experience and make fans all over the world live Harry's adventures.
