1C Publishing - Two new titles for North America

Aspyr Media has announced to have signed a partnership contract witht the European partner publisher 1C Publishing. The main terms of the agreement are about two new PC games to be published in the North America: the titles, announced this morning, are Death to Spies: Moment of Truth and XIII Century Gold Edition, including both XIII Century: Death or Glory and the upcoming sequel XIII Century: Blood of Europe. The games will arrive at retail outlets and will be available for digital download during summer 2009. As already happened for all of 1C titles published by Aspyr, the two titles will be released DRM-free.

"1C continues to deliver great games and we're happy to see that North American gamers are responding well to the company's fun and unique content," said Ted Staloch, Executive Vice President for Aspyr. "1C has been a wonderful partner and we expect nothing but continued success on current and future projects."

Death to Spies: Moment of Truth is the sequel to the popular stealth action title Death to Spies. The main character in the game is Semion Strogov, a captain in the 4th department of the Soviet counterintelligence service, called SMERSH. SMERSH is of course a Russian acronym for "Death to Spies," and was the real name of a set of Soviet military counterintelligence departments, formed during World War II. Strogov is back from his previous missions and must now get in a series of even more complex and thrilling military operations.

XIII Century Gold Edition will include the 2008 release XIII Century: Death or Glory and the upcoming sequel, called XIII Century: Blood of Europe, all in one package. Both RTS titles will offer large-scale battles set in the Middle Ages. Furthermore, they will feature stunning graphics and thousands of units on combat field. The gamer will play one of the most famous military leaders of the 13th Century, and will be able to test their steel against neighboring nations, trying to carve their names deep into history. Both XIII Century titles depict realistic actions of Middle Ages fighting units and their behavior during battle.
